From our research on this, we’ve come to find out that Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is the avenue created by Canadian Federal and Provincial Government through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to help facilitate Ontario Immigration.

However, every year, the ministry in charge of this program do send out news to people through its immigration office, requesting for all international applicant who is eligible for this program to submit their application for any of the streams which come under the below-listed immigration group.

What are the Available Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Streams Status

There are 8 types of immigration streams which you’ll see right below here, alongside their current status if it’s open or closed, and a brief note about it.

The First one is the Human Capital Priorities that are currently open for application and it’s linked to the federal Express Entry system.

What is the Requirement for OIPNP?

Normally, most of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programs are limited to;

  1. Applicant age
  2. Economic status
  3. Education
  4. Experiences
  5. Professional engagements and;
  6. English or French Language IELTS results,

However, the criteria that will determine if an applicant is eligible for this program is solely depending on the stream they are applying for. There are the categories;

For instance, the human capital category is subdivided into two which are the international graduate streams and Ontario’s Express Entry streams and each of these streams has its own unique requirements for English and French-speaking International or Canadian Graduates (BSc, MSc, and Ph.D.).

In the Employment or Job Offer Category, we have the Int’l student stream and In-Demand Skills Stream.

Another Category is the Business Category and which consists of the Corporate stream, Skilled Trades, and Entrepreneur streams.

How to Apply for Ontario Immigration Provincial Nominee Program

The application process for Ontario Immigration Provincial Nominee Program is done both online and offline. So, whichever method you’ll love to go for, there are just three steps you should take in order to complete your application.

1. Check if You are Eligible for the Program

Before you proceed to apply for the  Ontario PNP, make sure to have met the minimum requirement for your preferred stream of application.

You can use the CRS tool to verify that you are qualified to apply for the category of your choice.

2. Apply to be Nominated by Ontario Province

In order to be successfully nominated for this program, candidates must apply online. Though the application will cost them some money.

  1. If you are applying for the employer job offer and human capital streams the application cost price $1,500 or $2,000
  2. On the other hand, if you are applying for the business streams, the application cost price is $3,500 per business partner or key staff applicant.

3. Submit Documents to Federal Government (IRRC) Upon Selection

If you get selected for the program, an invitation to apply (ITA) will be issued to you.

At this point, what you have to do is to submit all the required documents for Permanent Residence (PR) to the Federal Government through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
