Job Summary
- To plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management functions of the organization with a view to maximizing the use of its human resources and champion strategic human resources operations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and implement strategic HR policies and processes
- Develop and maintain the HR policy framework and ensures its implementation across the entire organization
- Position HRM unit as a strategic business partner in the organization’s decision making
- Perform adequate manpower planning and forecasting
- Implement effective recruitment and selection programmes when necessary
- Plan and coordinate objective as well as KPI setting for each year
- Design robust and practical HR strategies to help drive financial and non-financial objectives of the organization
- Coordinate the company’s biannual / yearly performance management exercises
- Carry out job evaluation as well as design and implement compensation and benefits packages that are internally equitable and externally competitive
- Plan, design and monitor the HR and IT budgets
- Design and implement employee retention strategies
- Plan, execute and monitor training and development programmes
- Oversee daily operations of the HR and IT units
- Facilitate Management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other related issues
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management activities in the organization
- Provide advisory services to the management on human resource related issues
- Present comprehensive monthly departmental reports to the MD / CEO
- Other job-related tasks as assigned by the MD / CEO
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Psychology or any other social discipline
- Post-graduate qualifications like Master’s in Business Administration or Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or Master’s in Managerial Psychology is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3-5 years rich and relevant post-graduation experience in human resources / personnel management / administrative functions in a reputable organization or reputable organizations
- Relevant professional qualifications of regulatory bodies like CIPMN, SHRM, HRCI, CIPD etc.
- Excellent knowledge of Nigerian Labor Law
- Ability to anticipate people needs and take good initiative
- Ability to receive confidential information on daily basis, maintain confidentiality and display excellent judgement
- Excellent understanding of strategic HR issues as well as corporate government issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, tact, and diplomacy
- Should be conversant with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and relevant HR software packages
- Strong analytical skills and excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to anticipate people needs and take good initiative
- Excellent people management skills with emotional intelligence
- Good appearance with confident demeanor
