How To Apply For Emir Sanusi MSII Teachers Grant Challenge 2023 ($10000)

The Emir Sanusi MSII Teachers Grant Challenge 2023 ($10,000) is an annual initiative established by His Majesty Muhammad Sanusi II, the 14th Emir of Kano and UN Advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The challenge, which was launched in 2021 in partnership with 1 Million Teachers, aims to encourage and equip teachers to design innovative community projects that address SDG 4 – Quality Education – and SDG 5 – Gender Equality.

 

The MSII SDG Challenge Incubator is a specialized program designed to support educators who want to make a positive impact in their classrooms, communities, and beyond. This program is open to teachers residing in Sub-Saharan Africa who are committed to developing and implementing their ideas on the ground.

Eligibility criteria require that applicants be practicing teachers located in sub-Saharan Africa.

The MSIl Incubator provides participants with up to $2,000 USD to support their creative educational projects. Participants also have the opportunity to pitch their ideas at the end of the Incubator for a chance to win up to $10,000 USD and access the unique Accelerator Program.

Applications for the grant will close on May 21, 2023.

To apply for the Emir Sanusi MSII Teachers Grant Challenge 2023, interested applicants must follow the steps below:

  1. Fill out and submit the application form before May 21, 2023, at 11:59 PM WAT. The application form requires information on the project leader and the project itself.

  2. If selected for an interview, the applicant will be notified by the last week of May.

  3. The program will begin in mid-July and run until the end of December 2023.
