Federal Fire Service (FFS) Recruitment 2024

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) invites applications from qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill existing vacancies in the Federal Fire Service (FFS) for the 2023/2024 recruitment.


Category A: Inspectorate Cadre

  1. Inspector of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07 (Nursing)

    • Applicants must be Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), or Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) from recognized institutions.
  2. Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF), CONPASS 06

    • Applicants must hold NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field from recognized Polytechnics/Institutions.


Category B: Assistant Cadre

  1. Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04

    • Applicants must have GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent with a maximum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics.
  2. Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist), CONPASS 03

    • Applicants must have GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, including at least English and Mathematics. Those with Class E Drivers’ License have an added advantage.



Statutory Requirements for the Recruitment:

  1. Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
  2. Possession of requisite qualifications.
  3. Certificates of medical fitness from recognized hospitals.
  4. Good character, no criminal convictions, and not a member of secret societies, cults, or drug addicts.
  5. Must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment.
  6. Age between 18 and 35 years.
  7. Height must not be less than 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
  8. Chest measurement must not be less than 0.87m for men.
  9. Computer literacy is an added advantage.

  • Print out the Referee Forms, duly completed, for submission during the screening exercise.
  • Multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
